You read my mind. I've actually thought about this.... I wondered if the cable companies are gonna have a subscription in the future where you can just pay to skip the commercials.

Well a half an hour show usually has about 20 to 22 minutes of actually show the rest being comercials so about a third is commercials so you would save about 66% time.

About 8 minutes. A 30 minute television show is only about 22 minutes.

Most 30 minute shows are actually 20 minutes excluding the commercials. Hour shows tend to be 42 minutes excluding the commercials.
