The highest would be Everest but it is sitting on dry land You could never get higher than standing on the tip of Everest. This said there are plenty of mountains that have greater height but they start at lower elevations than Everest and cannot achieve the same height even though they are taller. This said from base to tip man can stand on the tallest mountain to reach surface on Mauna Kea or the second tallest on Chimborazo, or the third tallest on Mount Everest but will only be on the highest by standing on Everest.

I think tallest is distance from base to top and Highest is how many feet the peak is above sea level....(altitude)

Like if you were 5'11 but standing on a table 3 feet tall, and I was 6' 5" but standing on the floor, you would be higher than me but I would still be taller than you.

Highest is Everest, as it is measured from sea level.

Part of Mauna Kea is below the surface of the water so it is taller from base to summit, but we only see it from sea level to summit

value, and advantageous aspects. In all honesty, in case you like a dirt conceal, forward help, and quad rail, i could be shocked. And the S&W M&P interest is an marvelous rifle with out all that. you could continually alter it later, too. As for why the DPMS Oracle is extra economical than the M&P interest, it is because of fact S&W rates extra for their rifles. needless to say, from what i've got been informed, the S&W ARs are slightly extra useful high quality than the Oracles, however the version isn't possibly that important.

In your example of mountains:

Highest would be the greatest hight from 0 (i.e. Sea Level)

Tallest would be just the hight of the mountain (from its base to its peak)
