I took care of their children in their home, so it's not a business address. What do you think?

Actually, it is said that you should not put your references on your resume. Apparently it is better to just put "References available upon request", and then have a separate sheet available which lists your references; their name, address and phone number.

Always ask your references if they have a problem with you providing a prospective employer with their name/phone#/address. Some prospective employers also prefer your indicating the profession of each reference, although this isn't always required or necessary. You've already covered this area tho I bet.

When submitting a resume, References are usually indicated by the statement, "References available upon request". This line is normally beneath the signature line of your cover letter in the same area as you will be putting your Enclosure: Resume line. The Reference line would go beneath the Enclosure line, or you can also include this statement within the body of your Cover letter, within the paragraph that states you are available for an interview...etc.

Credentials for the position sought are more important than the References when first submitting a Resume to a prospective employer...they will ask for the references to be supplied when you go for an interview.

No need to give anyone information that isn't immediately needed as most employers do not check out references until they have interviewed the candidate in person.

Good luck with your emplyment enquiries.

Only put their business name, name of person whom they are to contact and the best phone number to contact them on. An address would only be used if they were to visit the person etc. So a phone number is totally sufficient.

It generally is best to mention that references are available or that you will be happy to provide references rather than giving personal information on others in your resume.

name, phone number and email address, it is not likely they will sent them a letter for a recommendation, so don't think address is needed.
