You need to try and get along with people - including those who you think you "hate". Feelings change with maturity and/or time, and who you don't like now may turn out to be a great friend later, and those who seem to be the best friend you will ever have may turn out to never talk to you again after you are finished with your school-age years. Then again, there are a few who will be life long friends. Quit being so jealous of people, it serves no purpose and causes the end of friendships - even those which would otherwise be life long. So your best friend hung out with someone else - big deal!!!! The best friend thing will die away, as when you become more mature there will be many friends whom you can consider "best", and your world will be all the better for it. Work on BOTH relationships, try to understand why you do not like the other person, get to know that other person and you may just find a fantastic friend as well - it appears that your best friend may secretly want to have that other person for a friend but that you are standing in the way! Think about it. Why else would she be having a great time in public dancing with someone who you said you both hate? Yes you really were immature, and need to work on it - grow up and get along with people. Isn't there enough hatred in the world?
Remember - you were the one who quit dancing as you danced for awhile and then decided to leave the floor - they just decided to stay as they were having fun dancing. That was NOT blowing you off. You made the choice. If you are not such a great dancer, take some lessons, or practice in front of a mirror or something. And - why worry how well you dance in the first place? When you get older you will understand that the ability to dance like a superstar is not even in the top 100 of important things in one's life. Just dance like no one is watching and enjoy the fact that you can dance at all - those in wheelchairs wish they could even get up on 2 legs and be on that dancefloor moving and grooving along with the rest of you. If anyone says you don't dance well, just say "I may not be the best dancer, but I sure have fun trying!"
Best wishes.

1. You should never PRETEND to like someone. Think about how you would feel if you found out that someone was only pretending to like you. Even though this person doesn't sound like someone you should be friends with, grow up and have the guts to be honest. You'll find that being two-faced reflects badly on your character....
2. Be honest, tell your friend how you feel. Just explain that you felt betrayed and left out and that you wouldn't have done that to her. Hopefully she'll understand where you're coming from and apologize, otherwise, you might want to venture out and meet some new people....

It really doesn't sound like your friend "hates" the girl that went with you.Maybe you should try to get to know her also. It is never fun when someone says hurtful things. In this case maybe you should just let it go. If you treasure the friendship.

Can't tell what's going on. Did you "blow off" your friend when you danced? Maybe she's mad.
I think you should calm down. You can't control other people, and trying to just alienates them.
If you actually like and care for this best friend, then forget it. If she's mad at you, find out why, and apologize.

Straight to the point honesty is the best way to go. Just remember not to come off offensive or accusatory. Let her know that U were hurt without hurting her feelings.

First of all you need to use spell check. Your answer is easy I hope. If you didn't like the girl why did you ask her in the first place. As to your friend she was not being considerate of you. Tell her how you felt calmly and move on from there.
