I studied Physics in Highschool and University but that was a while ago. I tried reading 'The Elegant Universe' a while back and had a hard time with it. So i suppose i need a good intro book. Any suggestions?

For Special Relativity you can't do better than Taylor and Wheeler's "Spacetime Physics." For more breadth, you might try Alan Lightman's "Great Ideas in Physics." And you can always get yourself a copy of the Feynman Lectures on Physics (3 volumes, enough reading for at least a year).

"Fabric of the Cosmos" is much better than "The Elegant Universe."

Im getting into "The Oxford Guide to the History of Physics and Astronomy". Not to big into priciples, it is more like an encylopedia of all things physics and astronomy. I have no physics background, but can understand the concepts. Very good reading indeed!

Try another of Brian Greene's books -"The Fabric of the Cosmos". It breaks down concepts in cosmology, if that 's your interest.
