I used to have a movie called 'Warlock' in my vcr, (this is how long ago it was) it was sticking out of my vcr left there after it was ejected the last time it was watched with the power off. I was alone in the house tv and vcr off. The tv clicked on and I looked over to it, the red light on the vcr flicked on, the tape inserted itself into the cartridge and the movie started playing. I ran over and pulled it quickly out of the vcr and threw it in the trash. I will NEVER watch that ever again! You probably shouldn't either I was lucky to happened to have a young man come around that knew the rite of exorcism, I heard my name called from down the steps when no one was home, and was running up my stairs after turning off the lights alot until then. I'm getting the creeps just thinking about it, thanks! lol *shudder*

If Saw, Hostel, Amityville Horror are what's considered scary, I feel so very sad.
Audition
Alien (original)
If you're looking for a sick to your stomach feel, try Cannibal Holocaust. It's not scary, just... disturbing.
Anything with Michael Bay attached to it.

The original Japanese version of "The Ring"
Really scary. After you watching that, you will think that the remake Hollywood version is just a joke.

Wolf Creek is a good one, it is a little slow in the beginning but it does get good, and the scariest thing is it's based on true events and the guy was never caught.

i am not sure you are familiar with Japanese horror flicks. Try "The Ring" and "Ju-on". Both are converted to Hollywood movies but the original Japs versions are more scary..
