ok deal is that i do not want to goto the shop and have it looked at and get ripped off.

1st symptom: i just got my car and the previous owner had had trouble with the car starting. the moter will start but the car will not turn over/catch. it would be tried several times and then would start. this only happen a few times for her. this has happened once for me. she thought she had it fixed. someone told her she had a loose cable or something and he tightener it and cleaned all the connection ont he battery. but when i got it it happened to me

2nd symptom: some times the car will have a delayed start. i will turn the key and the car will act like it is not about to start then it will all of a sudden start. or sometimes the start is kinda slow or just off. most of the time it seems alright.

3rd symptom: once i went to start the car and it had a delayed start and then i noticed the right head light blew or dimed. i am sure it just blew out but i am not sure.

If you are serious, from what you are telling us, I would guess one of two things:
1) Starter is failing
2) Possible failure of the flywheel ring-gear.
OR maybe both. One can lead to the other.

Call the Better Business Bureau and ask for referrals. They won't tell you that this guy is better or cheaper or more fair than another, but they will be able to tell you who is in good standing in the business community!!
Good Luck.

Ok first thing you need to check out. First of all check all of your connections positive and negative. The symptoms you describe sounds like a bad starter. Slow start, delayed start, and so on. If that does not fix it the only other thing is your ignition switch is losing contact on the start position.

Could be alot of things from not getting a spark, not getting gas , computer problem......you really should have it checked. If there are autozone stores where you live theyll do a diagnostic test 4 free.
