I remmber my dad saying that he'd promise to buy me a real lion. I was no more than 6 yrs when I asked him that. Ever since then I've wanted one, so now i have the fake ones around my place til I have one :(

My dad said he would never buy me or either of my sisters a car, so i said can i have a go-kart, which i am still waiting for at 35....he didnt buy me or my older sister a car, but of course the "baby" got the honda of her choice.....the dude has like 5 houses, and he couldnt kick down a lousy 300 bucks to buy me something i really wanted.

yes--not only buying stuff but just fake promises in general

Yes. When I was little my aunt promised that she'd give me her piano someday. A few years later she sold it. I was raised by parents who were very truthful, so her action really hurt me.

Hell yes!!!! I still to this day have not received my play school kitchen set. I've reminded my mother of this many times
