Paul McCartney wrote it for the Beatles. People always say its about drugs cuz the letters are LSD, and yes, the Beatles were doing alot of drugs when it was written, but actually, Paul wrote it cuz when John Lennon's son Julian was little, he drew a picture of his friend Lucy with diamonds around her, and he told Paul that the name of the picture was "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". It is on the Sgt Pepper album.

I bet that over half of the people who know Beatles trivia know about the story of the picture of Lucy. But, we can not discredit the LSD part of the story because of all the other "crazy" songs they wrote, like "yellow submarine" I mean come on! "We all live in a yellow submarine" you KNOW they were trippin.
And, they had to pay .98 on the dollar to England for taxes. You know they saved that country from going bankrupt. Would anyone in Hollywood do that today for the U.S.? Um, no. What's our so called national Deficit? yeah, ok. My point is when they werent trippin, you know they were high.

What about it? It's by The Beatles and it's on the album Sargent Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. Anything else you need to know? I've heard it's about drugs...they were using a lot of drugs when they did that album...and movie.
