because its easier for people to hate and be ignorant than it is to expand their beliefs and learn tolerance. Their in their comfort zone and they enjoy being negative.

People don't like what another person has, and are jealous, greedy, etc. We hate each others' religions. Dare I go on?

We are emotionally bankrupt, and are looking for something out there, that really has to start from inside. We have no morals. We don't correct our kids.

By the time you add any number of things we do wrong, it will wind up adding to hate. And it is always easier to transfer hate to someone or something else, than to have to deal with what is wrong with us. And the way things are going, I doubt very seriously that we'll be able to correct the problem.

There is just as much LOVE as hate, even more so. It just appears that way... you know the story- do a hundred great, wonderful things and nobody sees or recognizes it.
Do one "bad" thing by mistake or lapse of good judgment- and everybody knows about it.

*sigh* This is a hard question, since hate comes from the darkest corners of our spirits. It inflict pain on ourselves but it also inflicts pain on those who would do us harm. Hate is a tool we use to attack and destroy those we percieve as enemies. Thats the purpose of hate. The unfortunate side effect is in hating our enemies we damage ourselves.

I think so many people just can't along.Look in your own Neighborhood. Jealousy, Money, what ever it takes. No matter if you rich or poor, you just have to look ,talk different and people hate you for no reason at all.

Good question:
- its not that people 'hate', but that they react emotionally with fear against others for coming against what they love.

- The world would be different if people loved wiser things!

A lot of it is no education . Ignorance breeds hatred and hatred breeds intolerance . If you can't respect other peoples believes and culture , that will cause friction between people and if you can't tolerate that , it causes hate .

how mad would you be to be permanently on 1000th of your present income? [doing the same work] - say, $50 a year instead of $50,000 a year

how mad would you be to be permanently on 100th of your present income? [doing the same amount of work] - say, $500 a year instead of $50,000 a year

how mad would you be to be permanently on 10th of your present income? [doing the same work] - say, $5000 a year instead of $50,000 a year

take an average of those and multiply by 5 billion

90% of people are on 10th to 1000th of the world average hourly pay

1% of people are on between the average and a million times the average world hourly pay - they get US$70 trillion a year

if no one was overpaid or underpaid, if everyone was paid the same hourly rate, everyone - including homemakers and tertiary students - would be on US$15 an hour - every family working average hard, on US$75,000 a year

paradise, plenty and peace

10 times as many people could afford the education to become scientists - science would go ahead ten times faster

if maximum fortunes were set at the just maximum, US$2 million [ie, the most a person can make, not just rake], and the overfortunes spread equally among everyone on earth, every man woman and child would get another US$20,000 a year, world markets would be ten times bigger, real income growth would be much higher, money would be much cheaper to borrow, there would be no superpowerful superrich tyrants sending us off to wars, no poor, far fewer diseases, no starvation, no poverty, no war, no misery

1% take 90% of world income - US$70 trillion a year - US$70,000 per family in the world - and they do less than 1% of the work

such overpay is responsible for the 50 million a year killed by starvation, the 50 million a year killed by violence, the 200 million seriously injured by violence, the 1 million girls sold into sex slavery a year, the 2 million people who go blind for lack of 4c of vitamin A a year, the millions of landmine amputees, etc, etc, etc

99% are underpaid - 99% would be better paid with fortunes limited to the maximum earnable, US$2 million, and there would be no hate, no war and very little crime

and we would not be racing towards extinction

we 99% allow 1% to take up to a million times more than they earn, and so 99% get less than they earn - 99% do over 99% of the work and get 10% of the world income

99% could prevail against 1% without conflict

so that 1% can be superoverpaid, we sacrifice 90% of our earnings, 99% of our happiness and peace, and 100% of our future

we 99% could demand the immediate equalisation of fortunes, which would immediately make 99% of people better off, [and with money they have made and earned], would immediately destroy all conflict and most crime, and 99.9999% of injustice, and destroy the great likelihood of extinction soon by continuing escalation of conflict

it wouldnt be perfectly just, but it would be infinitely more just than what we have

which is the product of millenia of increasing injustice, the rich getting richer etc

99% would be better off financially, and 100% would be better off [no violence, no danger, no unfriendliness, no extinction soon]

will we do so?

i would be delighted but very surprised if we do

we are not rational, we do not think, we just go with the flow, we have absolute faith in the flow, like lemmings - we can't hear anything that we havent heard before, we are positive we are doing the right thing, nothing can shake our faith in our rightness

millenia of escalation of war has not make us doubt ourselves or our path - we are 99% animals, with perfect faith that our instincts are good enough, though our reason has made us an artifical world, about which we must reason to control

can you imagine a crocodile having doubts about itself? - no - and we have a reptile brain

can the birds or animals doubt whether they are on the right path? - no - and we have an animal brain

our 1% rational thinking brain is overwhelmed by our animal faith - mother nature cannot be wrong - although we are no longer in nature

we cannot grasp our danger enough to put our brains to work, to see the reality - we are just so sure everything is fine

not one of your answerers mentioned injustice, theft of pay

yet everyone knows what would happen if a govt took 90% of income permanently off 90% of people and gave it to 1% - endlessly escalating war

because money buys all needs and almost all goods

yet no one is conscious of the role of injustice in war and hate - and no one wants to be, for some reason - they want to go on ignoring it, for some irrational reason

people are not going to think, they are going to die

they thought up specialisation of jobs, which necessitated exchange -

and pooling of the products of work, for mixing, to get the variety of things each wants, meant some could take out far more than they put in, meant that inequality, injustice, theft, could escalate endlessly, without intelligent intervention

and they cant think of it

paying one person $15 million an hour and another 1.5c an hour doesnt strike anyone as incorrect

how can they think of anything if they cant see that as incorrect?

the brainiest people in the world, people who can do the most complicated maths, cant see it!

wonderful stupidity! miraculous stupidity! most marvellous astounding curious stupidity!
