Second the toothpaste...it's a very mild abrasive so it should take out minor scatches.

seekerz is right, you can polish them (plastic or glass) but must be buffed on the cotton wheel. look up "buffing materials" on google if you want to do it your self cause it takes the right softness of disc and the right compound. You can't press hard either, be patient If your not confident then take it to a jeweller, ask him to take the lens out of the frame, and they have allsorts of buffers and buffing compunds 1 combo or another of which will DEFINITELY do The Job. (As long as it's not a gouge.)- Once the scratch is big enough to stop your fingernail sliding across then don't bother Make sure you ask them first on the price cause depending on the optical dispensery and the jeweler, at sale times and not, You might be better off getting new lenses cut. Hope this helps

I use warm water and dish washing soap once a day, then dry them with a soft cloth. Toothpaste and water will remove small scratches, but don't rub too hard. I usually just use my thumb and forefinger to do the washing.

The fine, fine abrasive in tooth paste makes it an excellent product to remove surface abrasions on glass. Just apply a small amount to the area, and work in a circular motion. Rinse, and repeat.
