I think Playstation 3 is way over priced at 500- 600 doallors, and all it is really is Playstation 2 with a new controller and Blu-ray. Most people don't even have a HDTV so why would I need Blu-ray. I mean Xbox 360 has progressive scan that works on regular TVs and regular DVDs, which makes the picture clear enough for me and is chaeaper than having to buy way to high priced Blu-ray disc. Tell me why would any one want a PS3?! It looks cool? Or what?
P.S. The grahics look horrible 360 has better grapics

My friends all game consoles are sold under how much they are made, becuase they would be way to over priced, and the game industry makes the rest of the money out of services for the the console, such as Xbox Live.

Guy_from_Bri is an idiot I did research for a long time becuase I don't have the money to buy every single console coming out. So I researched on each console and came up with these conclusions. If you would please show me a game that looks better on PS3 than 360. I compared pictures and such. And I think Xbox 360 was way better than Xbox 2, becuase 360 is to powerful for Sony to compete with, and they just wanted to come up with an orginal name. I used to be like you a hardcore fan for Sonys Playstation but, the service I got from my PSP was very disappointing, and they lost my trust. Plus I've seen more PS2s brake than an Xbox, I mean come on. Sony has been blinded becuase of their great succsess and have gone done hill. Maybe YOU should research before you open YOUR mouth, bud.

you are not a very intelligent person, you need to read up on things before you go running your mouth. the PS3 has better graphics then the 360, the PS3 gigahertz doubles the amount of the 360, the 360 has **** graphics unless you have an HDTV, so i dont know what your complaint was about how not everyone has them when i could say the sme about the 360. the loading times will be half as long, the lower priced one is playable unlike 360, why sell a product that the consumer cant use?, the lower priced PS3 is better then the higher priced 360. and why are you complaining about the price $400 compared to $500, how can you be ready to spend $400 but not 500, the extra hundred is worth it. better graphics, triple the hard drive, wifi built in, HDMI output, much faster loading times. and i would rather give my money to sony then a company that cant even send enough systems to fill reservations, and cant even send out systems that work, why send out a product for $400 that doesn't even work properly and freezes constantly. microsoft had the hype they wanted so they sent out the systems quickly despite how unsatisfied we would be. sony is a better company. the 360's will probably be vegetables in a year or 2 also. 3 years ago, my friend got an xbox at the same time as i got a PS2, his xbox has been unplayable for a year now, my PS2 works perfectly still, you have to be an idiot to choose a 360 (and where the **** did they get that anme for it. why not call it the xbox 2, what are they scared people will think it is the equivalent to the PS2, well thats just what it is, i see no upgrade at all from the xbox to the 360.) over a PS3

I asked this same question here not long ago and have a blog about it on MySpace and Yahoo 360.
I have waited years for PS3, thinking it would continue the proud heritage of PS1 and PS2, but like you say, it's just an over-priced blu-ray movie player. Sony seems to have gotten way too arrogant with their previous success, and has lost sight of what made them number one...games!
So, not being a fan of Microsoft or X-box, I am now looking forward to the release of Nintendo's Wii. Change is good. Oh, and have fun with the new PS3 controller that has lost it's 'rumble'!

Blue ray just holds more memory on a disk so instead of 2 disks its one and since blue-ray is new it has similar quality to the HD DVDs. I have to agree PS3 graphics looks similar to 360s.
And Hart resident evil 5 is coming out for the 360.
Guy_from_Britain the 500 dollar PS3 doesn't come with WiFi how bought u research and if u know anything graphics isn't everything! the Wii is more popular and its graphics compare to the original xbox graphics. Also Microsoft wanted to be creative so they called it xbox 360 unlike Sony who stole almost all their ideas from Wii and Microsoft but just renamed it so it wouldn't sound like they did. for ex. entitlements its exactly like achievements.

I believe that Nintendo has always produced better game consols, but never really had great games.
I refuse to buy a PS because I know it to be an inferior product... it would be like buying VHS instead of DVD
I look forward to the Wii... the new controls are stunning the critics, and are set to revolutionize the way we play.

Hello. I think all Next Gen systems are going to stink-price wise and ability wise. The people who make them are going to evolve our consoles into PC's if we keep asking more from a game playing console. My PC is the Workhorse of the house. My consoles are Thoroughbreds built TO PLAY GAMES. period. Don't cross breed them,or fill them with junk-spam ads, plugins etc. It kills the game experience in my opinion, and YES they are way too pricey anymore. I mean what was so horrible about a simple PS2 (aside from being old -there's your problem). I won't pay for a downgraded PC under disguise as a gaming console!

Sony so copied Nintendo with the motion sense controller. I also think that Blu-Ray is a waste because not much people can afford HDTV's right now, they should have waited 3 more years. PS3 is not gonna be succesfull ITS TOO DAMM EXPENSIVE!!!!

your right the ps3 is almost the same as the ps2 and it costs like 400 dollars more, i wouldnt buy it until the price drops, and the graphics arent as good as the 360. id rather keep my ps2 and spend money on games instead of spending 600 dollars on a ps3

Ps3 will ruin videogaming!!!!!! Graphics have low color value and games suck!!!!!!!! Xbox 360 is good but its kind of dead now don't you think? Nothing new.
Nintendo Wii on the other hand, colorful and good graphics! Slamming games like Zelda mario super smash metroid. And you live your games!! it has internet and plays Dvd and other stuff! get the Wii!

you take things for granted I notice........its not just for HDTV, where ever you heard that is surprising to me.... PlayStation(sony) done announced that the ps3 is going to playable on any TV and no its not overpriced...its actually underpriced... its worth around $800, but Sony wanted to lower the price so it would seem reasonable to buy.
