I attended my 10th...my 20th hasn't happened yet.
I ended up hanging out with the same people I had lunch with...that was cool. Some of the people I thought were stuck up back then are now just normal people.
I did get depressed when I found out some of my classmates had died. There was one guy I was pretty good friends with in high school, so that put a damper on the evening.

I've been to my 10th and my 25th. I had a great time at both. I was happy that people were actually happy to see me at both and I was happy to reconnect with people "who knew me when." (I moved 1500 miles away with my family right after HS so I don't get to run into old friends while running errands.)
Both times our reunions were held over Thanksgiving weekend and at the country club. At this yrs, aside from a nice meal and cocktails, they'd arranged drawings for all sorts of gift certs and baskets. It'was very nice.
At my suggestion, they took our Seniuor pictures and used them as name tags. It was pretty cool to see the "before" and compare against the present.
I saw "kids" I'd known from Kindergarten, all the way thru 12th grade. I was accused of having plastic surgery or a the very least botox treatments because I am relatively wrinkle free. I thank my mother for her good genes and I reminded everyone that I never smoked or sat in the sun, covered in baby oil. I am also 40 lbs lighter than I was in HS so that helps too. I thought it was fantastic that some people didn't recognize me (in a good way) I soaked up the compliments.
I was happy to see the people who attended and sad that there were people who wouldn't. It was sad to remember the 3 classmates that have passed away, 1 suicide, 1 from AIDS and 1 from cancer. I was surprised to hear about another classmates crippling arthritis and another Cronic Fatigue Syndrome as well as another diabetis that has resulted in blindness.
The long and the short is, I'll attend any reunion that is planned, whenever it is. I think that it's true: time is the great equalizer and it's proof positive that we are all human.
If there is a question as to whether or not YOU'LL attend your reunion, go. It's definately worth it.

I went to my 10th. Everyone was there. We danced and laughed and talked.
I was pretty much friends with everyone in high school, so I didn't have a lot of enemies to avoid, thank goodness!
Everyone turned out pretty much like I thought they would, not a lot of surprises. Everyone still looked pretty much the same. I was surprised (a little) to see how well everyone had aged.
