Well, it depends on what degree you have, or want to have. A degree in Zoology will help get you into a zoo, but there is no guarantee that you will be with the big cats, unless you specialize or work really hard to get into that section. Beware, these people make VERY little money. VERY little. DO NOT work at a circus...these animals are mistreated on a daily basis and have a horrible life. You could also go for a degree in Biology as well, and do research on big cats....perhaps in their natural habitat, which would be exciting. I would start volunteering at a zoo to see if it is the environment you want to work in. I wish you good luck, because I am in exactly the same boat you are in. I have always wanted to work with animals and ended up as a teacher....next year I'm gonna try volunteering at a zoo to see if I can work in their educational section, showing and talking about the animals. Like I said....good luck. :)

A Zoo... a circus...
or one of those places that rehabilitate abused animals..
there are some of these wild animal sanctuaries that take these big cats/animals that are confiscated when people have them as cats.. I found this in a news article:
"There are only 5,000 tigers left in the wild but as many as 10,000 being kept as pets in basements and backyards across the U.S. and there are few, if any, legal safeguards to protect the animals or public safety..."
Isn't that amazing?

Im with everyone else. Vet job at a zoo. Or if you want to travel, you could go to places like Africa or South America and give safaris or take wildlife pictues/documentation.

If the local zoo is not hiring, then ask to be a volunteer. Make sure you tell them about your big cat fetish.
