first thing you need to do is set up a table
males glasses neither
15-6=w 6+x=9 8 m g n total
w=9 x=3 m+g+n=total 9+9+8=26
you subtracted 6 from males and put it in glasses now we know 9 males dont wear glasses. We also know 8 people are females with out glasses. now two find x which is women with glasses we solve the simple algebra. Now add 9+9+8=26 so there are 26 at the party. pretty lame party lol

OK, you know for sure there are 15 males, plus 8 non glasses wearing females. That makes 23 so far. Now, since there are 9 wearing glasses, minus the 6 males wearing glasses you've already counted, that would be 3, 23 plus 3 is 26.

There are 15 males, 6 wear glasses, so there are 9 males without glasses.
There are nine people who wear glasses, so there are 6 males and 3 females who wear glasses.
Eight people don't wear glasses nor are they male. They must be non-glasses wearing females.
So, we have three females with glasses and eight without. 3 plus 8 is 11. There are 11 females, and 15 males. 11 plus 15 = 26 people.
