In some cases, yes.
Girls tend to have more common sense. A guy will jump right in, while a girl might stop to think before joining him. However, it seems like there are a lot of girls giving in to the "Paris Hilton" craze and acting completely stupid, whereas guys aren't so influenced by the media. Girls do tend to get better grades without having to try so hard, but there are always exceptions.
I think, in the end, both girls and guys are smart, in their own ways.

I don't think they are any smarter but I do think that females put more emphasis on studying where as alot of males would rather put it off until the last minute. This gives females the edge.

It's only known that MOST of girls are more responsible and sensitive than men, but not smarter.

I think that the AVERAGE IQ is the SAME or about the same. Sure, most of HISTORY'S most famous thinkers (Aristotle, Newton, Einstein, Locke, Hume, and the like) were men, but women have been PUT DOWN by society for a very long time. I think that God created MEN and WOMEN equal.

On the whole, yes, because they are more mature and less superficial...they are more complex and use their emotional intelligence as well as their intellect.
