can anyone tell me why my computer is telling me that it is safe to remove hardware and nothing is connected?

So, normally it should be the CDROM! Sometimes the computer will recignized it as removable device, so it will show an icon on the bottom right corner!

If you have a cable plugged in but nothing connected it will still probably say it I have the same problem.

you probably removed it with out the computer realizing it, so plug it back in and then take it back out, but do it slowly

it is probably your usb wireless network reciver
