The Wii controller is not an NES zapper. It doesn't need to point at the TV at all times to function. You won't need a huge TV to play, because the motions will not all be relative to the screen size when they don't need to be.

You will be able to set it up to respond the same to motions on a smaller TV as a larger one. Suppose you're playing a first person shooter, such as Ubisoft's Red Steel. The hand on the screen mimics the motion of your hand, which doesn't necessarily point at the screen like a light gun would.

You don't point your controller at the screen like an arcade game. Your gun moves like your hand does, so you focus on the digital hand and not your own.

Once again, as a result of this, screen size will not be all that important. The Wii will definitely be very playable on smaller TVs.

Even a 20 inch TV is good enough. Just dont play on a 13" inch one cause that would look retarded.

Its also worth mentioning the Wii is not HD. Infact neither is the 360. The only future console that is true HD will be the PS3. The others lack the storage capacity to do true HD.

32 inches is good if it is HDTV. If it isn't HDTV, jack it up to 36". But if money is a problem, 32 inches will serve you well.
