How long has he ruled (I believe since the 60s, with the Cuban Missile Crisis.... how old is he exactly?--- I put him in his 80s?)

What will happen after he dies? Any sons?

His brother will take over. It will be the end of communism on the island, and the US will take over like Puerto Rico.

The revolution was in 1959. Fidel turns 80 this month. His brother Raul is positioned to take over. There is an outside chance Raul will be receptive to a more open economy. But, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has been buddying up to the Cubans. Other than that, it's a mystery as to what exactly will happen.

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, born August 13, 1926, is now 80 yrs old. He is the current President of Cuba since commanding the revolution that overthrew Fulgencio Batista in 1959. His brother, Raul, will replace him if he dies. Fidel has at least two children, a son and daughter. Fidelito lives in Cuba and was in charge of the Atomic Energy Development for Cuba. He is gravely ill right now. I wish him peace.
