I have separate laundry bins for colored clothes, towels, and whites by my washer. When my family brings their dirty clothes and towels to the laundry, they sort them and put them in the right bin. I always go through and double check before I do the wash to make sure that they are sorted right, but if you have them sort this way, it cuts down on the amount of time you spend doing laundry.

Lucky me. I do all the laundry. Kids clothes in one load, regular clothes in another, husbands work clothes by themselves, and the load we call the s**t load. The load is socks, underwear, and all towels and washcloths. The worst one to fold. Oh- and i dont have laundry baskets.(no stairs either). That way clothes dont come out of the dryer and sit in the basket. I fold them out of the dryer and put them away.Oh yeah---only Tide and Downy.

,,everything gets separated and its own temperature of water, and its own detergent,,whites get detergent and bleach, darks get detergent and pinesole for odors and tough stains, and lights get detergent only, and everything gets fabric softner, and the real good clothes hang to dry,,we own a roofing and remodeling business so clothes get filthy and stinky..and alot of times i let the loads soak for a little while....this also gets them cleaner...
