you need much more than that. I had a slower comp with less memory and it ran slow too. I got a new comp with a screaming processor and it did things I never knew that the sims2 could do. Details and such. get a new comp.

try pressing ctrl, atl, and del at the same time and clearing out unneeded programs. It is probably running slow because you ahve other things running in the background.

maybe try emailing the makers of the game they may give you some ideas, afterall you may not need a new comp it maybe something can be fixed easily...

for me, my pc is 1.5Ghz, 1GB ram, but sims2 on my PC is also abit slow.
