I have irregular periods , but lately since I took ovulex ,which I don't take anymore my periods have been coming every month. I've started taking vitaminE&C,fish oil and Centrum multivitamin along with exercise.I laso added Vitex which I started Monday but am not taking now because my period is here. Is it normal to have a golf ball sized clot to come out? Or is this my body cleansing itself of old lining? I've never had this happen before should I be worried?

Yes, this is normal-it has happened to me, too.

Have you asked your OBGYN for prenatal vitamins? If not, you should go ahead and get started on them. I've been taking mine for 3 months now. It will also give your stomach a chance to get used to the new vitamin, as most prenatal cause nausea. I had to figure out when the best time of day for me to take the vitamin and whether or not I needed to eat with them...you can also find prenatals at Wall mart or Target, but I would check w your Dr to make sure the supplements are suffice.

If you recently started ttc and you have made those changes you talked about, don't be surprised if your body is rejecting the pregnancies at first. My husband and I have been experiencing changes the past few months (I graduated w me MA and we are moving into our new house next week). It's almost like our bodies know when changes are happening and therefore, waits for the right time...

I am not an expert in this field but I would think that a golf ball size clot was not normal. You should go to the gynecologist as soon as possible. At least call one about it.

A golf sized clot might indicate a miscarriage. You need to see a gynecologists because this is not normal and could indicate serious problems.

when i was in my teens it seemed like i had a lot more clots with my period than i do now. i can't remember that they were as big as the one you are describing but they were significantly large. every period is your body cleansing itself of an old lining. if you are having abnormal pains with your periods i'd consult a doctor. try webmd.com

Clots larger than the tip of your pinky finger need to be assessed by your doctor. No, one that big is NOT normal.

Was there a chance you could have been pregnant? Maybe you miscarried, or it could just be a really heavy flow .
