Eat a good nutritious diet and avoid fattening foods. Eat food rich in proteins, as this would strengthen the protein framework of elastin and collagen in the skin.
To avoid stretch marks over the breasts, try wearing a supportive maternity bra specially made to give extra support for the heavier breasts during pregnancy and in the lactation period.
Topical creams containing retinol or retinoic acid/ Retin-A should be avoided during pregnancy and after pregnancy as their safety during the lactation period is not well studied.

Well the causes of stretch marks is where your belly grows and it stretches your skin because it's not big enough, and if you want to avoid having stretch marks then you can use cream but you'll have to put it on your stomach and everywhere else and like 2 times a day just to keep from getting them Well Best of luck and Godbless,

I really don't think there's anything you can do about nature. With my first son, I was determined not to get stretch marks. I was very small and petite before getting pregnant. I gain A LOT OF WEIGHT. I immediately jumped back to my normal size, and stretch marks did occur. I used everything..including coco butter and something called mother nature or something..can't remember...
I believe each woman is different and probably depending how much weigh you gain and the stretching of the skin. ASK UR DR..

The skin on your stomach is expanding as the baby grows. You cannot avoid getting stretch marks, although there are many products on the market that claim to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It's just a part of a mother's life.

Stretch marks don’t just occur from pregnancy though, many women, and men as well, have suffered from stretch marks that have occurred from gaining too much weight or muscle mass too fast.
Stretch marks can also appear when the body over exerts itself. For example, weight lifters often get stretch marks on their arms and/or legs, and sometimes across their chests.
Three different ways of removing stretch marks:
-Plastic Surgery
-Cosmetic Laser Surgery
-Creams and Lotions

When weight is gained quicker than the skin can grow, this causes the stretch marks. Not sure how to totally avoid it. Eat sensibly. I hear that almond oil or cocoabutter is a good preventative. Use it as an all over body moisturizer

The baby growing larger and larger causes the skin on your belly to stretch. All you can do is try to keep the skin supple and soft, making it more elastic and flexible so that it stretches more easily. Otherwise you will be left with damaged skin, i.e. stretch marks.
Use cocoa butter and massage it into the vulnerable areas.
Lots of women get them on the sides of their belly or all around their belly button. They just look like scar tissue and it's not so bad.

Quick growth is the cause and either baby oil or coco butter rubbed on the belly and sides every day seems to prvent them in some women, not all though. it is best to start using either before you start to show and grow though.
Congrats and good luck with the stretch marks.

the stretching of the skin when you gain weight. keep your skin moisturized, they say the best is cocoa butter. They do make stretch mark products now but I have never heard that anyone had any luck with them. There really isnt much you can do about it.

This has probably been ran into the ground, but cocoa butter doesnt work for everyone. I.e. ME! I was doing fine and then one day i woke up with them on my things. It was very traumatic, but the worst part is they are spreading downward. I had been using cocoa butter mixed with lotion but i guess if ur destined to get em ur gona. Make sure u dont scratch, scratching will make em come for sure. Not only that but cocoa butter wont make them disappear, maybe only fade. Ive only got a few weeks left so im trying not to worry about it till i can do something.
