I am 16 years old and I just shaved my pubic hair for the first time. I bled and I have lil red bumps all over the areas I shaved. Plus, I am really sore. Did I do something wrong? If so, how could i prevent doing that while shaving?

I can't believe I'm answering this question, but I do shave on a regular basis so....
First you trim the hair short. Then you wet the area thoroughly with warm water. I exfoliate at this point to get a closer shave. Rinse thoroughly and then lather up good, and begin shaving from the top down. This will help prevent ingrown hairs. Apply a cool compress afterward, and exfoliate the area gently from time to time (also to help prevent ingrown hairs). I've never had the itching problem that other people talk about. Check the area every few days to make sure that you don't have hairs growing sideways under the surface of your skin. If you find any, gently lift them above the surface with a needle. If you still have trouble following these instructions, I would recommend using a #1 guide on an electric trimmer. Now go put something cool on your stuff.

get some A & D ointment to rub on there, it will relieve the burning and soreness. Shave in the direction the hair grows, cut it short before you shave it, use shaving cream.

did you use shaving creme?! you have to take it easy around that region dude! doesn't matter how old you are, it just sounds like you went razor crazy and have some hella bad razor burn. next time take a hot shower or use a hot towel to warm that area, then apply shaving cream and shave in the direction of the hair. shave slooooowly. all you can do now is ride it out.

That is normal for shaving it all off. When it begins to grow back it will itch like crazy! Next time just trim it short, then you will look neat and not have too worry about bumps and itching..You didn't do anything wrong...this is what happens when you shave down there

you have razor burn, put some aloe vera on it and it will go away shortly, also make sure you use a clean, sharp razor when you shave to help avoid the bumps and burn in the future. You also might want to use a gel/cream hair remover, (no razor required) found in most stores like walmart, walgreens, cvs, etc...
