Incredibly painful cramps that come and go. They're like waves of cramps, you can feel it starting then it intensifies and then tapers off again.

Labor can be long but its not as bad as you think. Contractions start out like bad gas or menstrual cramps but only last a few seconds at a time. They increase in length, intensity, and frequency over the time you are in labor. The contractions can get REALLY painful but I always concentrated on the fact that it is "good pain" pain that is opening my cervix so that my baby can be born. This is a good thing.

The actual pushing can be a short as a few mins to a couple of hours. The pushing part seems like it'd be really painful but by this time your endorphins are so high and your body really wants to push that there really isn't anything else you can do. The part that is bad about the pushing is getting that head out. OUCH! And then just when you think your done those shoulders have to come out too.

These days if you are pushing for a long time they'll probably give you a C Section. And a lot of women chose to have an epidural to help with pain management. No matter how it happens birth is the easy part, raising them is the hard part. I hope this helps.

I have heard it hurts alot but mine was great. I didn't feel anything. I didn't even use any drugs. With my first labor it took 13 hours and my nurse had to ask me "Are you feeling anything because you are having great contraction" I was 19 at the time and my mom told me "Man you had that baby too easy I am rushing you to the the Dr. to get on birth control" and before I left I got the depo shot.

So my hubby and I decided to try for anyone in 04. Since my first labor had been induced I didn't really realize I was in labor. I sat up talking to my husband then I went to bed and slept through most of it. I went to the hospital the next day with my contractions coming about every minute and in 2 hours our second son was born.

None of my family members can believe how easy I had my kids. Even my nurse both times said I was the best patient they had ever had.Good Luck.... I hope your labor experience is as great as both of mine were.

Its differant with everyone. With mine I didnt really notice alot I was just ready to see my baby and thats all I could think about.
I couldnt feel any contractions. I went to a check up and the doctor told me I was in labor and wasnt feeling it. But for some women I hear it can be quite painful. But it is well worth it!

it hurts like hell but it's worth it it kinda feels like your stomach is tigtning but worse it's really hard to describe my mom always said its the worst pain you'll ever have but the easiest to forget because you have so much to show for it plus now days they have good drugs lol. it is really painful cramping like if you think you may be in labor go on in to the er they can monitor you for a few hours anyway and tell you how for you are from actually being in full labor you may just be in beginning sstages

Well let me put it to you this way it feels like your crotch is being ripped open, something as little as a Quarter and something as big as a baby's head coming out of it,It really hurts but if you take an epidural it will help the pain alot, But it is so worth it after you have your baby laying in your arms, But it's kinda hard to describe you'll just have to experience it for yourself, Well Goodluck and Godbless,

In my case it always started like a light period pain which was more and more intense and became unbearable at the end and also lower back pain was even more painful then at the front but the best thing is when you push your baby out the pain is gone

How does labor feel???? LOL

It feels like being hit by a mack truck repeatedly!!!
Each womAn is different, so is each pregnancy! The first is the hardest for most women, not all...So don't compare your birth/labor to someone else's experience..
