Oceania(NATO) fought two wars against the Communists in East Asia(Red China) and Eurasia(U.S.S.R.) it really wouldn't make sense that Oceania would be Communist for propaganda purposes, were they perhaps Facist like Hitler's National Socialist Party? Thoughts?

Totalitarianism is such a broad governmental structure, be more specific.. That's like saying that there are no differences between Facism and Communism..

Thank you for that utter failure at attempting to answer my question and ending up plugging propaganda.

I guess that could be plausable, however all the Facist players in the 30's and 40's signed the Anti-Comintern Pact which is a symbolic gesture of solidarity, and the U.S.S.R. provided arms to nearly every communist upstart group including Republican Spain also showing solidarity to a degree. That being said you are correct about the Sino-Soviet border disputes and Franco didn't exactly do everything Hitler told him to.

The society George Orwell (a Brit) wrote about was a Stalinist type form of communism. The society we have today in the U.S. and Great Britain is Fascist and the opposite. Power is concentrated in the hands of huge corporations. It is actually far more totalitarian than Orwell could have dreamed of. Today's technology is much more sophisticated than that in Orwell's 1984. Today's Neocons have mastered doublespeak.

Ok, you have good clues, but you miss some points ;

This is the New World Order.

Yes, like Hitler regime, it was Hitler New World Order....In the book and in the reality.

On his agony bed, Eric Blair (George Orwell), admited have been a spy for the government, and 1984, he wrote, was really what he thought the world would be in 1984...Because he knew all the manipulation, torture, documents faking, etc....That's what he done.

Now you have to make links to the reality. Hitler was a spy, from England, and he was financed, by Prescott Bush, and the British crown...It is all well documented...

Please, investigate more....I offer you thoses links :

Who are you to say that Oceania wasn't Communist.

The Soviets (CCCP) didn't like the Red Chinese (PRC) and vica versa. At times there were more CCCP troops on the PRC border than on their western border.

Actually, many political theories don't look at systems as left (Communist) and right (Fascist). They look at them as circles, with the totalitarian fascists next to the totalitarian communists.

Totalitarianism, actually I think it was more a Saddam Hussein type of government. Everyone was imprisoned with or without a jail cell.
