I was considering purchaseing one, but first I'd really like to know if they work well.

Save your money. It will pick up small loose things, but string lint, stuff like that it just leaves. I though it would get dog hair off the carpet, it didn't.

I have not tried the carpet one, but I love my hard floor swiffer.

I don't know about that product ! I think that it just a rip off. My mother loves to buy those silly cleaners. To me the floors don't get clean.
