It depends!
Please provide the engine manufacturers name and displacement of the engine.
PS Somebody tell Grumpy that 8 cyl engines have 8 cylinders to fire, not 7. hmm, maybe he leaves 4 at home thinking he saves gas. :)

ALL GM v-8's with the distributor is the same firing order 18436572. Ford every one is different. Dodge is different.

When people say it depends on the engine it's because they number their cylinders different. If you number the cylinders like this... on the drivers side,front to back 1,3,5,7 and on the pass side 2,4,6,8 then it's 18436572 on any of them. The Fords number their engines on the drivers side front to back 1,2,3,4 and the pass side 5,6,7,8 which is why their firing order is different.

Look on top of the intake manifold, the firing order is usually stamped on it near the distributor.

18436572 is the only firing order for a 8 cylinder vehicle no matter fuel injected or carb if it is an old vehicle during tuneup pull the vaccum off the distributor and plug it while you are setting the timing

on older fords and chevy's ,and also dodge the firing order should be stamped on the intake. there all different.
