Its normally after a nightmare, or something it feels like something is holding you down, or you cant move. But you kinda "force" your eyelids open like your rolling them in the back of your head...I dunno you just feel numb but arent sleeping your aware your numb whats it called?

Yes, it's sleep paralysis.. I get this all the time but is not necessarily after a nightmare.. it could be after any dream.

It's related to Astral Projection and when you get snapped back into your body real fast but your physical body is still asleep, this can happen. It also occurs when you're just getting ready to have a projection, too.

I would suggest that you read any of Sylvia Browne's books. She is a psychic and says that when you feel as if someone is holding you down or trying to pull you up out of bed it is actually yourself trying to have an out of body experience. Go figure.

you were astrally out of your body the pressure is you trying to get back in too quickly for you body to handle.sylvia brown has written extensively on this phenomena
