I feel very worried. I think there may be a troll or some other creature living in my town's old bridge. This bridge has a history of 120 years. It is an old brick bridge with many open crevices (caused by weathering) and sewage pipes. It is only about 20 feet long and bridges a way over a large ditch. Anyways, there has always been a rumor about a creature living in the bridge. On one afternoon, I was coming home from work. I was approaching the bridge when my car suddenly broke down. I came out to see what was wrong. My eyes noticed a figure moving in the shadowy darkness that the bridge created. It was a horrifying creature. It had a large grey beard, dirty skin, and tangly long hair. It was wearing some strange and eerie Troll-attire. It was similar to a grey trench coat, only very dirty. It wore no shoes and its pants were dirty and mangled. It smiled at me. It had broken, rotting teeth. It held a strange T shaped weapon and a rusty bucket of murky, soapy Troll water... (read on)

He dipped the T shaped object into the bucket and splashed the unholy, bubbly Troll froth all over my windshield. I was already inside with the doors locked. He then used the T shaped stick he was holding to scratch at my windshield. He pulled it back and forth, carrying away the soapy Troll water with it. It made a horrible squeaky noise. Like rubber being pulled against wet glass. I was screaming hysterically as this was happening. The Troll conjured up strange mumbles and chants of horrid Troll-talk. It knocked on my window with it's disgustingly soiled five-fingered hands. I honked the horn in a vain attempt to scare the Troll off. I don't know what happened, but it retreated back to the bridge through a miasma of fog with a bottle of Troll potion in its hand...
It stood about 6ft tall and had a strong odor. Almost like someone who hasn't showered for years. I'm terrified. I don't go on that bridge anymore. I take an alternate route that takes 20 minutes longer to reach my...

You can rid the troll by fooling him into walking over the shadow of an elm tree. The other way is to impale him with a cross from a Catholic Church.(it must be gold, not silver"

I've done some research and I believe the troll you encountered isn't actually a troll, but a Downonhisluk Imp. These misshapen, unkempt faerie folk usually takes up residence beneath bridges, in dank and dark alleys, hollow trees and some can even be found in abandoned subway tunnels. Legend states that if a person runs across one sleeping on a park bench that person will have good luck for the rest of their life. Folklore also has it that if one was to ever encounter a Downonhisluk, they should never laugh and point or else they'll anger the creature and risk being cursed by the ill-mannered imps. The "weapon" the Downonhisluk carried was most likely a Duckscrubber, a magical wand of blessings and the most prized possession of the Downonhisluk. It seems as though it was trying to bestow a gift rather than harm, but your fear was just as most Downonhisluk Imp's tend to act irrationally. One way a person can ward off such faerie creatures is to throw a handful of change on the ground. Anyway, that's all I could find on your encounter, I hope this helps.

I read the whole thing! Hey, I took the time, so I'm gonna let you know, lol
I like the responce about it being Edna... haha...

Maybe it is an old homeless man wanting money?

If you really have a troll over there I wanna meet him! If you are still alive and he didn't come at you with any kind of hammer or knife, I think you'll be alright!
Why not drive back there and get to know him.
Maybe you should do something about pollution in your town.. 'Cause if he lives under a bridge and he still smells like he hasn't taken a bath in years, seems your wateer supply is the thing to be really scared about!

Good luck with that....

This is a species of troll known as a 'squeegie troll,' which is a sub-genus of the 'mop troll' family. These creatures, while neglecting their own appearance, help to keep the rest of us clean. He is harmless and you need fear no harm from him. Just toss him ten silver coins when he is done with his job and he will be very happy. Squeegie trolls love silver coins, preferring the larger 25 or 50 cent size.

Ok Brandinono I have looked at all of your questions, and I must say that you are a very talented writer. You should put your talent to work writing for a fantasy magazine, or even a book of short stories. Yahoo Answers is definately the place for you to receive constructive criticism on your work, however you portray the image that you really do believe, and these things really did happen to you. You should learn how to separate fantasy from real life, and enjoy your real life.

Is the troll laughing all the time? Does smoke comes out from under the bridge? Then it's a happy, weed smoking troll. Just now you hogged my Bong Pipe and inhaled all my pot and now your stealing my Crystal Meth and sniffing it all away. Damn!!! You are more stoned than I am dude...

Dude, you remember the song "Under the Bridge" by Red Chilli Peppers? It's about Mexican Drug Dealers and pushers whom Anthony Keidis usually deals with. They stay under the bridge to make the deal... So its just those Mexicans under the bridge you saw and you were too stoned you thought they were Trolls, hehehehe... rock on dude! Now give me back my Cystal Meth!!!!

Remember the story The Three Billy Goats Gruff?

Oh my! You tell that troll to come to the WWE building in
Danbury, CT, and bring his resume and proper wrestling attire
so we can hire him to appear on RAW & SMACKDOWN!!!!
Horrible, is he? Then, Vinnie Mac, the Burger King, the
broken-down Hulk-a-maniac, and a dozen idiots will make him
a STAR freak in our WWE circus of the Living Dead.
Dirty, eh? We can use him! Oh MMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Okay, if there really is a troll there, maybe Harry Potter could use
another one in his next movie or book.

I didn't know that there were different types of trolls. I didn't know that trolls were real, and I thought that they were small. Well, I guess they are big, just look at the Harry Potter troll. Ok. So I am just rambling now. Sorry I couldn't help you with your troll problem. ???
