I love programming in PHP, but I know ASP.NET 2.0 pays more. To me PHP is more straightforward to work with than .NET. Should I take the time to learn ASP.NET 2.0 even though I like PHP more and am better/more accustomed to it?

In your question, you mention ASP.NET paying more, so I am assuming you are talking about doing this as a profession. As a software developer, I would strongly recommend going ASP.NET, not because it is better or worse, but rather it is something new to you. After a while, you will learn that there really is not a big difference between what language you use - they all have Pros and Cons.

There are 2 big advantage of going ASP.NET:
1) You have another language under your belt if you look for a new job
2) Each language has its own "twist", so by learning a new language, you also learn new techniques that you can apply to different situations, speeding up your growth to a more senior position.

asp is more powerful than php though PHP is far more simpler. So i'll advice you that if you're already good in php, i'll advice you to step up and learn ASP.

It'll be worth it for you to take time to learn ASP.NET because knowing the .NET with your PHP knowledge is going to do you a big good. So just go on and have fun learning ASP.NET. Not much that fun though.

.net's framework usage with any language (especially the web based asp) will provide you with more power than any other language out there.

i feel asp style is much better than php just because of syntax.

i have worked with both languages for years.

php has great power - but it is only equivalent to that of regular asp
.net is not only 40-50% faster, but also has thousands of libraries of information to choose from..

the only problem with .net is learning about all of the tools it has for you to use..

As a self-taught drummer myself, i can allow you comprehend that there quite is not any 'quickly" thank you to check an tool. It takes an excellent style of persistence, prepare, self-discipline, and not user-friendly paintings. Now that being suggested, some human beings do study quicker than others so it certainly relies upon on the guy. I certainly have 2 cousins that the two play guitar and the two are self-taught. My one cousin Terry practiced almost daily and picked it up quicker than my cousin Dave, who did not prepare practically as lots. Terry became exceptionally darn stable in approximately 8 months. all of it boils right down to how desperate you're, how lots you prepare, and how immediately you %. issues up. My suggestion could be to get an academic e book or DVD and study some chords. in case you do it on your guy or woman you will keep an excellent style of funds and you're able to circulate at your guy or woman %.. Guitar training at the instant are not affordable those days, till you comprehend somebody. in simple terms supply it a shot on your guy or woman for a month or 2 and see the way you progression. Then in case you sense you like training to get greater effective, then hit upon a stable instructor that's not too costly. however the nice and comfortable button is to prepare....prepare.....prepare! stable success!
