You need fat to burn fat. Diets lacking fat will cause the metabolism to slow down. Proper fat intake should be about 30% of your caloric intake. One gram of fat is equivalent to 9 calories. So to calculate how many grams of fat you should be having, multiply your caloric intake by 0.30 (this is 30%, because it should be 30% of the intake). This gives you the amount of calories of fat you should be having. Then divide this by 9 (one gram of fat is 9 calories), and this is how many grams of fat your diet should consist of. For example, if you were on a diet of 2,000 calories, multiply by 0.30 to get 600. Divide this by 9 and you get 66.6 repeating, which you can round to 67. So a person on a 2,000 calorie diet should be getting about 67 grams of fat per day. The daily requirement of calories for a good metabolism is your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This varies for everyone. You can calculate your BMR by dividing you're weight by 2.2 and then multiplying that number by 24. Consuming just grapes and tuna isn't healthy. You won't be getting many nutrients really. Vary the diet more. Buy food from a health food store, like Whole Foods, not the supermarket. Here's a sample (1,500 calorie) meal plan (you can add or take away foods, depending on the proper caloric intake for you) - Meal #1 3 whole eggs (the myth about too many eggs raising bad cholesterol has been exposed, so don't fall for it) 2 slices white bread (white bread's fine in the morning when glycogen storages have been depleted, because the high GI will help put your body in an anabolic state) Meal #2 Protein Bar Meal #3 Preworkout Half scoop whey Meal #4 Post workout Whey 1 scoop 200 calories in fruit Meal #5 1TB peanut butter 1TB Flax seed oil 130 2 ounce meat or fish Meal #6 1 scoop casein

Um.....sorry, but they don't measure the same quality. Ounces (like pounds) measure force, while grams measure mass.
In order to "convert" from one to the other, you must specify the gravitational force. For example, the object with a mass of 600 grams will retain that same mass whether at the earth's surface, on the moon, out in space, and so on. Yet in each of those locations it's weight (usually measured in ounces or pounds, at least in the US) will differ.

1 kilogram is equal to 2.2 lbs and, since one lb is 16 oz. a kilogram (1000 grams) is equal to 35.2 oz
Now since
1000g = 32.5 oz
it must be that
1 = 32.5 oz. / 1000g
multiply 600 grams by 32.5/1000 and you get
19.5 oz.
I suspect that 'meredia' converted it to Troy ounces instead of Avoirdupois ounces
