The Ninth Gate to be honest cause its a Johnny Depp thing! In fact it airs on Monday at 11:00 on Sci-Fi, so if u want u could check it out! It's good, kinda weird as Sci-Fi stuff usually is and the bonus is that Johnny Depp is HOT!

Star Wars (the original, unremastered version) is my favorite because it set the tone for sci-fi movies to come.
My favorite non-sequel movie is Forbidden Planet.
