Well, should I? I want to do it as my birthday present to myself. I would adopt a sea lion. This is the website about it:

When i was in the 6th grade i was able to raise enough money to adopt a mountain lion from a local animal rescue park it was a wonderful opportunity and i enjoy benefits to this Day 12 years later such as being invited to special events at the refuge and such. IF you can afford it go for it you'll always be proud of yourself

i think you should just buy a cat or hamster cause you wont see the sea lion much where the cat or hamster can be part of your family and give you love in return plus seal ions nead a large space to play and roam bigger than any zoo the animal wont even know you are paying for its food and keep and therefor you get no reward for fostering it

No, absolutely this is not a waste of money. The question is, of course, can you afford it? If you can than I think it's a great idea!

Yes, definitely do it. You're supporting the zoo. You would kick yourself forever if you didn't and then the zoo closed due to lack of funding.

just be careful about sharing information. i know it may seem harmless, but they might sell your info and youll get email spam and mail in your (front yard) box from other places other than this one.
