step one:click file
step two: go to save as and click it.
it will saves as .txt
u can view in notepad.

If you are using "View Source" in notepad on a pc, just save that file. It then has to be put on the web server in place of the original file.
If the file is not HTML, but is .php, .asp, etc., you can't edit it from "View Source".

coz u r viewing the source code of a copy of the original page
if it was possible u will find a lot of lamers changing all the web pages they view

You can't save the changes you've made to a web page directly to the server. Save the file to your computer (File->Save As), then you will need to upload the file to the server, usually using FTP.
