no you shouldnt stop playing. you have a better chance to play better when you are taller because you can head goals in easier because you are taller also you can get to the ball faster because of your long stride. You can also win the ball more because of your long legs. Patrick Vieira is 6'4'' and hes one of the best players in the world. he plays for arsenal and for france. Nwankwo Kanu is 6'7'' he's from Nigeria and he was one of the best players. Peter Crouch plays for Liverpool and England and he is really good. Good Luck with your soccer. I hope what I told you gives you some knowledge about taller soccer players.

To be honest your mom is sort of right, you might get more injuries and you won't be as fast as you need to be. But hey, one of England's best footballers is a guy called Peter Crouch who is 6ft 7. So keep playing, but expect to get more injuries.

look at crouch....hes a giant (about 6'5 i believe)!!

granted hes not very good, but he plays for a national team. height might give you a slight disadvantage but it can also give you an advantage...maybe you can run faster with those long legs of yours!!

anyway, the fact that people are telling you to quit should push you to improve and prove them wrong...i say stick with it since youve been doing it all your life.

and yeah, maybe you could also consider becoming a goal keeper.

Peter Crouch is 6ft '7 inches. Don't quit, use your long limbs for football/soccer! You could use your long legs for running super fast(midfield) and jumping super-high to score goals(forward) or block them away(defense)! There's many options. Quitting isn't one of them. =)
