Well, the only way to boot them is to actually "boot" them, but that's a bit unsporting since you voluntarily joined a game with a 3 minute time limit per move. To avoid this in the future, you could create your own table and set the timer to whatever increment you'd prefer, or look to join tables that have already set a shorter timer (look at the "options" line next to the table number).

It's hard to play with someone like that. In Literati, I've waited a long time. After 5 minutes I boot them. First, I ask if they're working on a word.

You can boot someone from a rated game if they're idle for more than a certain amount of time.

On your game screen there should be a box to the right that says "boot player".

I just start a new game in another window; eventually they will get booted automatically or will quit.

yeah, that's happened to me before, you can't really boot from a rated game, BUT if they take longer than a certain amount of time you can force forfeit. don't really remember how, but i hope i helped!
