I understand that there has been quad sli released. Do i just buy 2x 7950 gx2 cards? If not what do i buy? And is quad sli better than and xtx x-fire setup? Xfire is better than just plain SLI.

Xfire requires a "master" card and some other fiddling around that SLi doesn't need. SLi is easier to use. Personally, I think nVidia makes better boards (especially in the middle end market) and they simply have crushed the Radeon X1600 with the 7600 series. I'm a nVidia fan.

And here's a setup where you can get quad SLi working, http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33452 that's the only one I know of that has been tested where Quad SLi worked.

By the way, it's currently a total waste of money since the 8 series (coming out in the fall of this year) will make even the most powerful board made today, tuck its tail and run.
