how do I install adobe shockwave?

every time I try to download shockwave a little square with a triangle, circle and square in it pops up in the top right hand corner of a bigger box that's supposed to say "installation complete". how do I get rid of that small box and what does it mean?

It could be a security setting within your browser. You need to enable ActiveX. Do the following: (assumption you are using Internet Explorer)

> Select Tools
> Select Internet Options
> Select the Secuirty tab
> Select the Internet icon
> Depress the Custom level button
> Select to allow signed ActiveX controls to run

A quicker way is to lower the security setting for the browser. It isn't advisable but if it is an option

In the dropdown menu select for example Medium-Low and depress the Reset button followed by Ok to complete
