When i have to study

2006-08-06 13:33:07 · answer #1 · answered by LAVENDER 2 · 0 0

I just finished college in england where people are 16-18 (same as america high right?) and it was boring because all anyone did was work and they would get drunk for fun which I couldn't do (I don't drink and I wouldn't wanna). People would drink in lesson time towards the end of college and it was just dumb. Everybody studied 24/7 in their spare time and people were just not interesting at all.
I also got voted 2nd most depressed in the year which sums up the year of college for me. I'm no longer depressed now college has finished. I felt trapped and like I was only working for more exams which people would revise for about 5-7 and a half hours on average (i would revise about 1-1 and a half hours on good days). When one guy told me he revises 17 hours a day and told me how and why, I just gave up!
Edit: Also, I just remembered my chemistry teacher... one of the two (we had two teachers for each of our 4 subject). OMG! She thought I was easily capable of an A and all but she'd lock me out if I was more than 5 minutes late. The college made the rule official that you're kicked out if you're later than 10 minutes so I had an extra 5 minutes after that...
Also, one time I was REALLY unwell and dehydrated and couldn't talk properly because of this. I asked if I could have a bit of my drink and she said no even though she was drinking hers. Like really snide or what?

The students--LOL as a teacher life would be very easy if I didn't have any kids to teach.

No actually it is some of the silly regulations that the district office people come up with. For example, we all have to write lesson plans a certain way. I can understand writing lessons that a substitute teacher could follow.

Except in my case as a computer teacher, I am not allowed to have any sub even turn on the computers. So why do I have to write lessons for a sub?

My least favorite thing about school is the people. They start rumors and gossip too much.
