The battery was removed from my car and since then my radio is requiring a code. I can not play cds or the radio without this code. Never even knew I could lock my radio. I called Mitsubishi and they said I needed to remove the radio and get the serial number off. HOW DO I TAKE OFF THE RADIO? Any know hows out there? IF SO PLEASE HELP!

You can get the information you need either at a discount auto parts store (buy a repair manual for <$20.00) or go to the library and use theirs in the reference section. Also available at MOST libraries is computerized information from ALLDATA or Mitchell On Demand.

it's to much depth to explain how to remove the radio. the dealer should have your code via the VIN#. then again, maybe not.
take the car to a stereo installation place and have them remove it for you, in fact, I would buy a nice deck to put in its place.

if it only give up on you and made a noisy noise its the transmission, it went out then. my bf's dad is a mechanic & this exceeded off to him even as in a diverse state. if it does no longer start up anymore then convinced your transmission went out. sorry to take heed to...
