I have never own a car because a car spend 95% of its lifetime
parked. It is parked in the garage, in the drive thru of banks & fast
food joint, in traffic & many of other places of consumptions that
you don't need to visit. You should leave your car at home&walk.
Why don't we eliminate all of the credit cards which are made of
plastic which comes from oil. I would like to see cc be replace
biometrics. see www.biopay.com, 90%of Americans pay a stupid
tax to the oil corp. because they buy gas a few gallons of gasoline
about every 3 days instead of buying a full tank of gas once a wk.
There are a lot of things that we could do to lower our demand 4
oil. Believe it or not the only times that 2 people needs to be in the
same room at the same time is when they are having sex. We
should use more video conferencing instead of air & car travel.
What are the OPEC nations going to do when they don't have a
buyer for the oil? I hopes to see alternative to oil soon, but the
powerbrokers don't want to upset the economic balance that oil
provide. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE POWER MONEY & SEX. Why
don't all of the whiners about the price of oil form a corporation
that will develop an alternative to oil. You can either earn more $
or spend less $. THE CARS & SUV WILL BE THE DOWNFALL
OF THE USA. THIS IS THE UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA. B/C
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAN DIED IN THE 1960'S

I travel quite a bit, and almost everywhere I go I see a fifteen to twenty-five cent per gallon price spread between gas stations, often right across the street from each other. Yet people are blissfully pumping away at the more expensive stations, bitching about the oil companies and the price of gas. PEOPLE! Buy at the cheapest station, it is all basically the same gas! When the expensive stations start losing customers, they'll drop their prices. When they do, the discount stations will drop theirs as well. In a free market, the consumer is KING! But only if we consumers take advantage of our power to vote with our dollars.
As for the gas companies, let's be honest: around half of what we pay at the pump is TAXES in one form or another! Get government out of the oil business and the price will drop to about $1.50 a gallon!

Nice attitude! Of course it never entered your mind that something can be done about the problem, right? No, apparently not, since your answer is that anyone who doesn't want to live with the problem sneak off somewhere else. How about forming a coalition of consumers which stops buying gas one day a week, every week, until the prices come down. If they don't drop, stop buying it two days a week. How about demanding alternative fuels and vehicles that will burn them as well as deliver better mileage.
Oh, excuse me. I just figured it out. You're not an activist. You're survivor. Ignore the problem and don't complain, just survive.
Forgive me for bothering you with different ideas.

Well, mr. bush, in response to your raised gas prices and your new threat to put a $1 tax on gas, I've purchased a smaller car and am not driving as much. Now your economy is suffering even more because thousands of other people are choosing the same route I have.

The if you don't like it get out worked well for the Germans. They lost many of the best minds the world has had the privilege of knowing. Starting with Albert Einstein who had his books burned and was labeled a traitor by the Third Reich. How was his loss good for Germany ? Then there is noble peace prize winner for literature Thomas Mann who fled shortly after Einstein. How was that good for Germany ? The founder of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud fled with the rise of the Third Reich. How was that good for Germany ? The great Fredrick Chopin fled Russia and went to Paris as a result of intolerance masked as patriotism. How was that good for Russia ? Madeleine Korbel Albright forced to flee both Germany and Czechoslovakia granted asylum in the United States. There loss was our gain. If those people who question and dissent all left you'd be left with people like you. It would be a nation of people like you who think in black and white missing the forest for the trees. You just don't get it your self justified ranting of patriotism flies in the face of the very premise you profess to defend.

The boycott is stupid, there's no differance if I replenish today the following day, or whilst every time, as a results of fact finally i choose gas to circulate to paintings, %. up young ones, and so on. this is stated as life, left wing nuts. grant and demand, the Oil agencies are gonna get our money finally, so it makes no differance which day you fill. All you human beings asserting i visit replenish today or the sixteenth what's the differance? maximum folk do no longer choose gas known, maximum replenish as quickly as a week or two times relies upon on your interest and what's happening. in case you Nuts would desire to make a differance than set the occasion, journey your motorbike to paintings, use the T-prepare in case you have one on your city, placed wind farms on the coast of Cape Cod the place I stay, to enhance potential on our section and much less on oil and gas however the entire HYPROCITES LIKE TED KENNEDY, JOHN KERRY AND Liberal acquaintances do no longer choose that, enable's supply up human beings like Al Gore flying on inner maximum Jets. I mean we are in a position to do alot a lot extra and a sometime gas out is stupid. The Oil agencies gets you ultimately this is stated as grant and demand.

WOW...someone needs a nap.
Gas here in Ohio is $2.99 at the SOS and $3.04 at the Shell.Yesterday it was $3.14 at the Shell.EEEEEK.
Just because gas went up is no reason to have rage.I'd rather be paying high gas prices here in the USA then living in a tent in the hot desert in Africa, riding a starving, half dead camel!

Looking at your post name--it is easy to see that you are an a## like the president you stuck us with...we have every right to complain when we are being gouged.
Since you do not agree, people should be allowed to dissent or complain, obviously you need to go very far right into communism or remain excessively right to the neocon ideolgy (fascist) which you apparently do as you do not support freedom or speech and love overruling people's rights.
This is our country as much as yours and we are not going anywhere...we will fight to make our country back into the shining city on the hill, it was meant to be. We will not shut up or leave and you will just have to deal with it.
The numbers of people especially young people fighting to change things and say enough is enough are growing. I, for one, see hope in these young activists.
It is also impractical to expect us to not drive based on the way our society is set up..people's must drive generally to get to work, shopping, entertainment, etc.
We cannot afford taxi's anymore with the price of everything skyrocketing but incomes.
Blame your party for that and for not raising the minimum wage for 15 plus years to a living wage. People like myself who are disabled and on a limited income cannot afford such prices for gas and can't afford taxis, drivers, or we don't live on a busline.
But I suppose people like you would just assume we be burned in ovens while proclaiming how prolife you are.
