Why won't my PS2 start Gran Turismo 4? I recently bought it used, it has no scratches or visible flaws, but it won't start. WHY??

my ps2 works fine with all the other games and gt4 is a dvd(silver disc).

If it's the slimline version they did have some problems with the lazers. Does your ps2 play other silver disks, if not one of your lazers are knackered.
Mine wouldn't play purple disks which was a pain as I bought it for my kids and alot of the kids games have purple bottoms.
If you have had it for less than a year send it off to be fixed as it's still under warranty.

Does your PS2 play othergames? Turismo4 works on my ps2.
You can always wait a couple months for the ps3 to come out.

ummm i have gran turismo HD that i downloaded online through the playstation store and it will blow any game i have EVER played out of the water. i really dont think it can ever get more realistic like this before playstation 4 haha

When u insert tha disc flip tha ps2 upside down trust me

Sometimes when PS2 DVDs get old they can be played no more.It has happened to me and my friends many times.

well maybe there actually is a scratch but only a small one that u cant see

maybe it's because you don't clean your PS2 and it's dirty.
