1997. A few months before Chris Farley.
He was flying a homemade ultralight airplane in California when it crashed into the ocean.
I still remember being home that day and having the breaking news come on.

JOHN DENVER committed suicide in his OWN way...on his radio he was singing a FRANK SINATRA song "my way" as he nose dived into the BAY. John went up with a empty tank of gasoline ( almost empty) and his life insurance was a DOUBLE imdenity policy which he left to the SEA OTTER FUND of Monterey Bay for their preservation.

I liked Rocky "Mountain High," He was said to have fallen off of the freaking wagon. Crashed his homemade glider plane in the Pacific off the California coast.
