They are from the dollar store and the instructions say to take a test each day for five days I have taken them for 6 days now. They also say that a positive result is when both the control line and the test line are the same color of pink and that when the control line and the test line are a different color it is a negative result. The first two days there were no lines, the third day there was a light pink test line, the 4th day there was a little bit darker of a test line and the fifth was even darker still. Today there is no test line at all. The line from yesterday was the darkest but not as dark as the control line. Why would it disappear. Did I have my lh Surge yestarday even though the lines weren't the same.

Try temping in conjunction with the OPKs. OPKs will tell you when you are about to ovulate and temping will confirm you have ovulated.

It sounds like your body is trying to ovulate, but for some reason it isn't quite getting there OR you could have missed the positive result. I have to test twice daily to make sure I catch my positive.

I recommend using www.fertilityfriend.com for charting and www.saveontests.com for you OPKs. Another good site for information on OPKs is www.peeonastick.com

Also, you should read Toni Weschler's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" Awesome book, should be required reading for every woman of child bearing age.

best of luck to you.

I used one of these tests from Rite Aide (store brand) I called the company there should be an 800 number on the box for questions. They told me as long as part of the line was as dark as the control line it was positive. Each time I have been ovulating I only get a partial line to get as dark and that is when I ovulate. I believe it is true because I have confirmed my results with my BBT method.

I suggest you go get a different brand of tests. My problem is I had double lines every time I tested, but the test line was always darker.........so unfortunately I haven't had luck with these ovulation tests, but I really do suggest a different brand of test. Good luck and baby dust to you!
