Tyler,
You said 'pro' and no professional I know would :
a) buy an airbrush at a hobby shop
b) nor at walmart
c) ebay? heck no.

Ok, first you gotta ask yourself what you want to paint. Automotive? Fine art? Commercial Illustration? T-Shirts?
Different airbrushes have different things they're best suited for...some 'crossover' from one medium to another. How much are you going to use it? Have you considered an air source?
All these need to be factored into your decision.

I personally like Iwata airbrushes...they're teflon packed (meaning you can spray ANYTHING through it, and the o-rings won't shrivel and die). I've tried other brands proporting themselves to be 'the best'...and they don't stand up at all (have not tried the Sata guns yet, but I hear they're good). So Paasche, Badger, Grex, & Aztek - forget it. Don't waste your money.

Once you figure out what you want to paint...I'd cruise around Coast's Airbrush site, and Dixie's...if you have questions, call or write to Coast and they'll tell you whatever you need to know.
Retail wise, they have the best on the market - for the best prices I've been able to find thus far.

But be advised..."cheap" and "pro" don't necessarily go together.

**** get a double action airbrush...the only thing a single action is good for is hosing something down.

If you're talking about an airbrush for retouching photos, you need to forget about doing it on the print itself and get your hands on PhotoShop. Besides an airbrush tool, it has a zillion tricks up its sleeve for improving or manipulating photos digitally - THEN you can print them out when they're perfect.
