Windex gets rid of it sometimes.Or alcohol wipes.Just rub it hard enough to get it off but not to hard or it'll leave scratch marks on the lamination.

You should have used a "Dry Erase" marker instead of a permanent marker. The key word here is "permanent". Time to buy a new chart.

Leather sofa - you need to be very careful with whatever you try to use first test on a inconspicous area. You can try hairspray, baking powder, nail polish remover and rubbing alcohol just test first so you dont ruin your sofa. To remove from the floor just use soft scrub with bleach wet rag apply soft scrub and rub will come up just did it on wood floors everything came up. Good Luck!!

Since that type of ink in a sharpie is petroleum based, nothing will touch it but another petroleum chemical like turpentine, gasoline, alcohol, fingernail polish remover, acetone and etc.

Can't answer that, but next time use a marker designed for writing on overhead projector trasparencies. Comes off with water!
