(the drawing skills, i mean) but hey, what do i know, im only 12! ^^

I draw manga style and I never did learn from any websites, books, or teachers. I've been drawing ever since I first watched Sailor Moon and I think I was like 4-6 (Somewhere around there), I don't know what it was about Sailor Moon, but something about Sailor Moon's pretty face inspired me to draw and that's how I started. Now of course my drawings sucked but then the more I kept drawing the better I got in time, I don't know why but anime always inspired me to draw. That's another reason I enjoy anime/manga so much! ^.^

I'll admit it is hard to draw manga style without at least having lessons to draw a certain direction or way... Like for example, I remember seeing a very old episode from Ranma, a part where he is kicking this one guy in the head with his foot and his arms and hands being in some position... I wanted to draw a girl doing that same position and let me tell you it didn't work so I kept drawing and kept seeing that same episode over and over and over again and slowly the position I wanted the girl to be in turned out better and better the more I drew it! ^.^

So I'm now 14 and I can draw manga style just fine, but there are some things I still have trouble drawing. And now I am reading books and going to websites to improve my drawings, although the way they teach to draw the head and eyes is different from how I draw but the way they teach you how to draw the body I do it the same way. So really you can learn how to draw animation by yourself, but it's tougher.

Also no, I'm not Japanese or Asian. I'm just a girl born in America who is Honduran (Hispanic). And a site that I prefer and love to go to is this site:

Well I hope that I helped you and did a good job answering but if you have more questions you would like to ask don't hesitate to ask! ^,~

I do. I didn't learn it from anywhere. I guess it was from watching too much tv, both cartoons and fighting dramas and then I went "Hey! That looks cool. I want to draw it out." And that's when I started drawing. I would usually make up my own story with my own characters and gradually, I just developed my own style of drawing. But I guess art classes do help as I took about six years of art classes when I was very young. Now, I'm still drawing and I have to say, I'm still very weak at drawing hands, feet and the crinkles in clothes. I would look up artbooks/manga that I like and study how they draw these things, so I could improve my own drawings. And if I wanted to draw a character in a certain position, I would watch some anime and pause at that part with that kind of position. Sometimes, I'd even use a mirror and draw myself in some kind of position (usually hand posture). And I'm not Japanese. I know a lot of non-Japanese who can draw manga quite well too so, it's not just the Japanese who know how to draw. Hee hee...

go for your community library, that that they had be certain to have books on a thanks to entice manga. The e book keep must have lots too. you may do this and coach your self. despite the indisputable fact that, once you're keen to fork out slightly money, you may position an ad for an artist or someone who can draw manga properly specifically as an instance your e book.
