I have a 10,000 gallon above ground pool that i am sick of dealing with. It is immpossible to get clean as the previous owners wre morons. We have tried everything. I just want to frain it and scrub the hell outta it and refill. I don't care about the time to refill or the water bill. My question is I live in a little town with houses all around me. If I just drain it in my yard I will wash out the neighbors yard. Who do I call to pump it out?

I see the obvious answers here...namely a hose to the street.
But, maybe your neighbors would like some of that water, especially if your inthe area with drought, or, they have a garden.
Problem with the hose is that you will still need to bail out the bottom because the hose won't get the very bottom. Maybe a shop vac could do that, but you will have to stop numerous times and dump it out.
The local fire department may be able to help...for a price. But anyone will charge you.

I can't reccomend any one in your home town, as we don't know the town.
What I can add to the subject at hand is this.
If you're draining any vinyl pool, with a liner that's 5 years or older, you're running a significant risk of that liner shrinking and becomming quite brittle, if it's not already. Be prepared to spring for a new liner when you get it drained. It may not be worth filling back up until you do. If you think the water from pumping out will be bad for your neighbours, think of the Niagara Falls that will happen when that liner lets go in one place suddenly. They almost always will fail beside the weld at the base of the wall in an instance like this.
There's also nothing stopping you from running a submersible's discharge into a decent swale between houses. That's why they are there. Drainage. Or for that matter renting a small one and putting your garden hose on it to the street.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, get your local swimming pool company to do it. They will have a pump that'll drain it in under an hour and can let you know if it's new liner time or not.
I'd also like to point out, that while the previous owners may have been "morons", that pool, if the water is balanced and properly sanitized with attention to the filter and a little elbow grease, can actually be salvaged. If it was clear once, then whoever let it slip is to blame for it'scurrent condition.

Actually, what most consumer's aren't aware of is that above ground pools do not hold chemicals well. I doubt the previous owners were morons, it could be that the pool began to turn green after the first 48 hours of no occupancy.
Pools also need circulation as well to stay blue.
As for draining the pool, there are a couple of options, first, you can rent a water pump or you can hook your water hose up to the pools pump and put in the vaccum pad without it being attached to the pole.
(i think thats what he said lol)
if you rent a pump from a local rental store, it will come with a very long tube for draining into the street or drain.
Many homeowners with large yards actually like the water to be drained into the yard away from the house.
From the sounds of it, I would also like to add that the liner will more than likely need to be replaced.

You should have some kind of hose that attaches to the filter. Put the filter on drain and connect the hose to the filter. Run he hose to the street if you are on sewer or to an isolated part of you yard if this is not possible. Turn on the pump. When the water goes below the skimmer use the filter vacuum attachment unless the pool has a drain.
Before you empty the pool, why don't you try a shock treatment? Or you can take a sample of water to a store that specializes in pool supplies, they will analyze it and tell you what you needf to do to correct it. Use a vinyl cleaner to clean the sides of the pool.

you can call your local pool company and they will be able to recommend a person or company to drain your pool or if you are concerned about money and paying someone else to do a simple job you can go to your local equuipment rental company and rent a pool pump for a day with enough hose that you can direct the water to where it wont be much of a concern the cost should be around a couple hundred bucks or so , so dont let yourself get taken by anyone trying to charge more to hook up a simple pump and draining your pool

There is a reversible pump you can purchase from your local pool shop. That will hep you just fine. Have it drain into the street or into a storm drain

Call your local pool supplier and ask who they reccomend.
Any reputable pool company will drain the pool for you, but you may have a hard time finding someone to replace the liner.
