well, gamecube is a good console, it is sortof dying out but since you dont play it anymore, sell it on ebay or something but also you shouldnt buy the nintendo DS because that will soon die out too so sell the gamecube and save up the money for the wii which is a more advance console than both the DS and gamecube... with the wii you can download/buy games that are for DS, gamecube and all otther nintendo consoles... the cost of the wii will be no more than $250.... but it doesnt come out until september or november... good luck!

It all depends on what you like to play. Personally I wouldn't go for a DS because "The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess" is coming out in November and it promises to be the sweetest game yet. If you are a true Nintendo fan though, you may want to consider upgrading this Christmas to the Wii. It will boast such games as "Super Mario: Galaxy" "The Legend of Zelda:TTP" "Super Smash Brothers: Dojo/Brawl" among others. In the end, the choice is yours, but that's my recommendation. Best of luck.

If you sell your gamecube, I would buy a next-gen system. The DS is fun, but it's very different from the cube too. They appeal to different groups of gamers. Consoles will almost always be better than the hand-helds. . .

You could do that. But I think it would be a better choice is to sell it and buy and Nintendo Wii.
